This stuff is really old!  It is from the Ochsner parts pile, and is probably some really old stuff sent over from Italy when the Campy USA facility was set up in the 70's in Texas.  The bags the housing comes to us in is labled part number 219.  That shows up as a really old cable housing for a shifter back in the days when housing was run from shift lever to derailleur!  This housing, though, accepts a vintage 1.8mm heavy brake cable.  And here is the thing.  If you look at this housing, it is also extremely similar (if not the same) as the housing that came with old Universal Brand 61 brakesets. So our thought is that this was a housing typical in Italy in the old days and various makers used it for some assorted applications.

When you order this item, you will be getting two housings, each about 140cm long.  That is plenty long, and when you cut one for the front you will have some leftover for derailleur housings if you like.  Ferules are not included, although if there is one on the housing (seems like some have a single one but not always) it is likely to be discolored.  The housings themselves may have some dirt from the years, but should look perfectly lovely and painfully vintage when installed.  Modern ferules will work, though they tend to be a bit loose.

We did have some of these years ago, but sold through what we had.  We were pleasantly pleased when more of these turned up from our latest purchase.
